September News
What we thought would be the last of the environment series was held on the 16th of September at Ramsey pavilions, where we looked at river water samples. Over 50 people came along to check their own samples. Once again it was a superb event, and this time we had an additional extra a local historian who came along to talk about the history of Ramsey.
You can see both videos here, under meetings:
The event triggered discussions on another environmental meeting, we would like to host one on fleas and bugs, which sounds very interesting and we are planning this for January.
September also brought a host of really good meetings, on the 11th of September some members of ACT (Ralph, Bill, Waqas and Sue) went to the ‘Fate of Britain’ Conference. This was an alternative event, and we had some amazing conversations. We met some fascinating people. We were really glad we attended and we hope to work with a number of people who we met there.
The second conference was Continuing Community Action, which was also brilliant. The workshops were very interesting and we had some very good conversations again we hope to work with people from this conference.
